Worker Node
A Worker Node in the Conduit Network links the Service Layer to valuable resources like bandwidth and compute power through a Smart Meter. Connecting a computer with a valid Conduit Node0 License integrates it into the network for task assignment and participation in mining. Compensation is provided for tasks completed, as tracked by Smart Meters and processed through a Security Module for billing.

Worker Node OS
Conduit Network maintains and provides a SELinux-enabled operating system that is essential for Worker Nodes. This operating system upholds the security standards and authorization protocols of the Conduit Network. A hash of this image is used in security procedures when Worker Nodes are interacting with Security Modules. To participate in the Conduit Network and earn rewards, this operating system is a requirement for all Worker Nodes.
Smart Meters
Conduit Smart Meters are used to measure resource events (change, use, etc.) either on or off network. Smart Meters are deployed as a part of the Worker Node OS, measure and monitor resources, and interface with a Security Module to store data in Conduit Temporal Ledgers.
